What Time Do Carriers Pick Up? Here’s Our Daily Schedule

January 16, 20261 min read

If you’re dropping off a package, timing matters. One of the most common questions we get at Ship It – Bay & Beyond is when carriers pick up shipments. While exact times can vary, understanding the general pickup schedule helps ensure your package goes out as quickly as possible.

Daily Carrier Pickup Windows

Major carriers such as UPS, FedEx, USPS, and DHL typically pick up shipments once per business day. Pickup times may change due to volume, traffic, holidays, or weather, but most occur in the late afternoon or early evening.

To make sure your package is included in the same-day pickup, we recommend dropping it off earlier in the day. Packages brought in after the carrier’s cutoff time may ship the next business day.

Why Cutoff Times Matter

Carrier cutoff times help ensure:

  • Your package is scanned promptly

  • Tracking updates begin sooner

  • Delivery timelines stay accurate

Our team keeps track of carrier schedules and will let you know if your shipment qualifies for same-day pickup or needs to go out the next day.

How We Help

At Ship It – Bay & Beyond, we coordinate daily pickups and prepare shipments in advance so everything is ready when carriers arrive.

Bottom Line:
Drop your package off early, and we’ll handle the rest—making sure it catches the next available carrier pickup whenever possible.
